NY Covid Deaths Shame Cuomo & LI Six

We hear about the dramatic uptick in other states, which is true. However, what is not said is how these other states are faring far better, in terms of mortality, than New York. Remarkably better.

Take Florida or Texas for example. Look at their total cases and look at the deaths. A small fraction of New York.

A 33-page report with the purpose of exonerating those who made the decision to force nursing homes to take COVID positive patients doesn’t also hold up when you analyze it against other states. Moreover, blaming the staff of these facilities is political and heartless.

New York State lost nearly 6% of its nursing home population. New Jersey and Michigan had the same policy as New York and lost 12% and 5% respectively of their nursing home population.

California quickly reversed its policy and lost only 2%.

Florida prohibited the transfer of #COVID19 positive patients from the beginning and lost only 1.6% of its nursing home population.

Governor Cuomo can argue and theorize, but the numbers do not lie. You lie Governor Cuomo!
