It’s been more than half a century since Republicans in Congress worked across the aisle with President Lyndon Johnson to pass the historic Civil Rights Act of 1964.
We need to work together, despite party registration, once again to say unequivocally that there is no place in America for hate crimes like this.
We support the investigation into this matter by NASCAR and the Justice Department, and urge the strongest punishment possible for those who are found responsible.
In a rush to remove history from all public spaces, the leaders of the Museum of Natural History have recently called for New York City to remove a statue of President Theodore Roosevelt from its entrance. In an effort to ensure that the legacy of this American hero is protected in this age of extreme “cleansing” of American history in New York City, three Republican candidates for New York State Senate have offered to help find an appropriate new location for the memorial.
All three of the community leaders have offered educational locations within the districts they are looking to represent. Each one suggested specific sites for the statue so that future generations are able to continue learning about the important work of Teddy Roosevelt and the impact his life had on the course of our nation.

Suffolk Legislator and GOP Minority Leader Tom Cilmi sent a tersely worded letter today to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. On behalf of the eight members of the Republican Caucus of the Suffolk County Legislature, he is “demanding” that Governor Cuomo “immediately lift any Executive Order which prevents small businesses from opening in Suffolk County.”

For instance, if your building is XXX square feet, you can safely have X number of employees/patrons in your facility. These numbers would be calculated so that the maximum number of employees/patrons would ensure a six-foot buffer between people. This would allow small businesses to open at the same time as their larger competitors, while affording the same protections for their employees and customers through social distancing restrictions, sanitizing and requirements for masks and face coverings.

Crime stats bear this out as well.
Republicans have fought for years to protect seniors, ensure quality health care offering choice as opposed to failed socialized medicine.
