Radical Scientist Goroff Must Explain Support for Defund the Police

Medford, NY – The Suffolk County Republican Committee today called on Radical Scientist Nancy Goroff to explain her support of the far-left movement to defund local police departments on Long Island and across America. 

“Radical scientist Nancy Goroff owes the voters of Long Island an explanation as to why she supports defunding our local police departments which would make our communities less safe and put our families in danger,” said Jesse Garcia, chairman of the Suffolk GOP. “We are already seeing the dangerous effects of the defund the police movement in New York City where crime is surging and now Nancy Goroff wants the same dangerous policy for Long Islanders.” 

At a recent protest, Goroff was photographed holding a sign reading “COST OF RIOTGEAR for 1 POLICEMAN EQUALS COST OF PPE for 31 NURSES.”

“Radical scientist Nancy Goroff and her troubling agenda to defund our police departments is completely out of touch with Long Island families. As police officers all across New York put their lives on the line to protect our communities each and every day, Radical scientist Nancy Goroff would stand in the way of providing them with the vital equipment that they need to do their jobs. ” Garcia said.
